How We Spend the money raised
The teachers always have a long list of wishes, and so every meeting we review the wish list and agree what we can spend and where. The small wishes recently bought include, Digital Camera, Cooking Equipment, Play Sand, IT equipment. Bigger projects we have funded in the past include the outdoor classroom and adventure playground.
PTA Meetings
Meeting are held at school in the evenings, generally on a monthly basis. Items covered in the meetings are upcoming event organisation, granting wishes from the list, any other requests from school / governors for consideration i.e. food policy. All are welcome to attend these meetings and make suggestions. The agenda for the next meeting is published in the school newsletter prior to the meeting. The AGM is held in the Autumn term when officers are elected
How can I get involved
It really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’. There are many different ways to get involved, and as little or as much time commitment as you can spare.
An organisation such as this, needs contacts in all sorts of places, so if you have any contacts that we might need to use, please let the PTA know. For example discounts that the PTA could benefit from or people who have skills / talents that might be useful in the future.
Offering to help before events, during events or after events, are all invaluable contributions.
If you are able to give more time, then why not come along to a meeting.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Cholsey PTA. We hope you now understand a little more about the PTA and its valuable work.
Hoping you will be able to support us in our future events, in any way you can.
